While we have no boundaries for the clients we serve, we mainly assist clients in Pine, Kanabec, Chisago and Isanti Counties, including the cities of Hinckley, Sandstone, Pine City, Rush City, Willow River, Sturgeon Lake, Finlayson, Askov, North Branch, Cambridge, Braham and Mora.

Covid-19 Tax Preparation Procedures

As you know, 2020 has been an interesting year. Due to safety concerns for our staff and clients, we will not be meeting in person to prepare tax returns.  Our procedures at this time are outlined below, and we ask that all tax information be delivered to us as soon as possible for timely processing.

We have several options available for you to get your tax information to us-

  • Mail to: Pine Tax & Accounting LLC, P O Box 839, Hinckley MN 55037
  • Put in our secure drop box that is to the left of our door. It will accommodate a regular 9 x 12 envelope.  Please do not use padded envelopes.  This secure drop box is available 24 hours a day.  If your information is too big for the box, ring our doorbell during business hours and we will come get your information.
  • Upload your documents to our secure portal. Please contact us and we will send a link to your email.

If you have documents or driver’s license that need to be copied, please ring the doorbell during business hours and we will take care of that for you.

With your tax documents for 2020, please include-

  • Phone numbers
  • Current address
  • Email address to contact you at
  • Updated copies of driver’s licenses
  • New dependents or changes in dependents

Tax returns will be prepared in the order they are received.   We will need to receive information by April 1st to guarantee it will be completed by April 15th.

For clients new to our practice, we will need a copy of your 2019 tax return.

When working on your return, we will call with any questions or if we are missing information.  Once the return is completed, we will call and review it with you.  We also have the ability to set up an online meeting where you would be able to see the tax return as we go over it.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. During this interview, we would also discuss any changes for 2021. Once the return is complete, we will either send an email for electronic signatures or mail you the documents for you to sign and mail back to us.

We used this procedure from March 15-June last year and it went very well.  We understand this is a difficult situation and we will do everything we can to make this tax season as smooth as possible for everyone.
